Mouse in House

ok - this is not Graham's rhyming homework from tonight or a new Dr. Suess book title .....

I HAVE A MOUSE IN MY HOUSE!!!!!!

Tonight around 9:30pm, I was sitting in the chair in my family room - getting Jillian down for the night - when I saw out of the corner of my eye something scamper out from under the couch to the left of me. Jillian was almost asleep and I have to admit I was almost asleep too! I screamed and jumped.... woke Jillian up too! I yelled to Ross (who had just walked in the door from his trip to Ireland) - I JUST SAW A MOUSE! My heart is racing! I immediately put up my feet and didn't move a muscle!

I yelled to Ross to get in the family room and find the mouse.... he came back at what seemed like at least 5 minutes later with a plastic bin and proceeds tell ME to "go ahead and lift up the couch skirting and he would try to catch the mouse" - Yeah right! WHY am I supposed to go over to the couch ... anywhere near the mouse.

Well, to make a long story short..... we DID NOT find the mouse after looking for about 20 minutes. But I know there was a mouse for sure because I found a mouse dropping near the couch! yuck!

So now I am sitting here... it's midnight... I cannot sleep wondering WHERE this mouse is in my house!

Perhaps I should set out some Oude Kaas (old cheese) for him tonight?!?
