gotcha!

i've been cautiously walking around my house over the past few days- wondering where the mouse is....

i think it's worse knowing that you have the mouse in house - but not knowing where's he's hiding - than not knowing that you have a mouse in the house!!

well, i don't have to worry any more! ross caught the mouse on saturday night!!!

he bought several kinds of traps last week - but you will never guess what kind of trap actually ended up working!?! a box, a stick, and a string.... the kind of set up you have probably seen in the old fashioned cartoons :)

he bought an actual mouse trap and set it up behind the tv on friday night. he put some peanut butter on the trap and noticed the next morning that the peanut butter was gone - but no mouse! so on friday night when the kids were in bed and the house was quiet (well, except for the World Cup games on the TV)... ross watched the mouse run around the family room.....eeeeewwwwww! he put out some poison and the mouse ate it... but no luck with the traps or a mouse falling over dead.

so on saturday night... ross was watching WC games again and watching the mouse run around... he decided to use a box, string, and stick as a trap ... and of course a little peanut butter on a paper towel. after a little technical engineering design - ross had the trap rigged. it didn't take long for the mouse to find the peanut butter under the trap.... i have to admit ross missed the mouse the first time - but within minutes had the trap set up again! this time the mouse was trapped... right in the middle of our family room - now what!?!

we put some books over the box and waited until morning since it was almost midnight already.... then we decided it would be best to let the mouse go outside.... but not too close to the house!! ross and the kids took the mouse to the other side of our property and let him go!

at least if we have a mouse in the house again - we'll know how to trap him!
