picnic lunch @ Target after visiting the chiropractor.  a few weeks later we went to see the chiropractor again and had another picnic @ Target.  Jillian says to me "Mom, lunch at Target AGAIN!"  love that girl!

boys were away for a fishing trip - Helen had her friend, Tori, over for a tea party.  they had so much fun!

i'll be honest - i came completely unprepared for this event.  on August 28, 2012 - i scheduled the older 3 kids for a "back to school" haircut.  the hairstylist got done a little early and said "would you like me to trim jillian's hair too?".  this would be jillian's first haircut EVER! :)  i said "you know, i've really been thinking about cutting her hair short... something different... short and sassy for my 'lil girl".  the stylist said "let's do it!".  so jillian hopped up into the chair and faster than i could second guess myself - she snipped off jillian's wavy bleach blonde locks!  yikes!  it's not like me to make a split second decision like that!  but it was done!  i didn't have my regular camera so i snapped these cell phone pictures of her before/after. 

had a little trouble uploading these pics to the blog - ugh!  cut off most of the picture.

I just ran - ok sprinted -- to the computer to post this video and picture of Helen reading her first official book from Kindergarten :)  Can you tell I'm a proud mama right now?  She was so excited to share her book with me this afternoon.  She's been working hard on her sight words too each night before bed - I'll try to get a video of her doing her sight words soon.  She loves Kindergarten!  I worked in her classroom this morning and had the opportunity to see her in action in the class - she's doing great... but of course I'm a bit biased :)
