tot ziens 2011!

i've decided my blog needs a new title since we don't live in Europe anymore :( - so i tried to come up with a creative photo to introduce my new title.... well this is the best i could do ---using a cape that my sister sent the girls-- i tried to come up with a supermom shot....and this is the best i could do :) although i consider myself more along the lines of clark kent ---the adventures of a super-mom is my new blog title

a friendly game of new year's eve bowling at the sturgis lanes

sister(erin) versus brother (ross) :)

the final results!

must not forget the link to my 365 day photo project!!! it's done and i'm NOT doing it in 2012 :) i really enjoyed doing the project though---fun to see how everyone changes in 365 days. i will be doing something special in 2012 though for a photo project!

better hit publish...or i won't make this entry in 2011! wishing my family and friends all the best for 2012

swim team party

the girls playing with Barbies :) (not related to the swm party though)

the boys had their "end of the year" swim party.... they were doing relay races with kids in their age group and then later combined with the older kids for a game of keep away with 3 balls in the pool (see video). as i was sitting there watching them swim - i felt so proud of what they've accomplished with their swimming skills. they are not afraid of the water and have literally "jumped" right into to their swim team activities. their swim coach is very nice and welcoming to them (and our entire family). we are so lucky that they have this opportunity to be a part of swim team here in Sturgis. Go Stingrays!

Graham's turn for the relay!

Go Graham Go!

Jayden is very excited for his turn.

there he goes! (for the record - jayden's team won all 3 races)

in this relay the kids had to swim across the pool holding on to the tube - going back and forth until they picked up all their team-mates. fun!

air zoo in kalamazoo

first - lunch at the air zoo in kalamazoo, mi

a cool parachuter as a light at the air zoo

jilly the tour guide!

we visited Cherbourg this summer! i think it's so neat to be able to say "i've been there!" our family has truely been blessed with our international experience over the last 2 years

we visited most of these places in France too!

now on to the space exhibit at the air zoo

(captured Graham reading the exhibit info in the background - Love it!)
daddy enjoys trying to maneuver around like an astronaut in space

helen gives it a try too!

jayden's turn

...... AND jillian! of course!

graham too!

me being silling in the infinity exhibit :)

i remember watching the Challenger Shuttle in grade-school

another place i can say "I've been there!" - the boys immediately recognized Stonehenge and said "hey - we've seen that!"

playing
i can claim that i have visited 9 of the 16 countries represented by these flags!

i love the expression on helen's face - she is driving our plane

Jayden is in the back plane - followed by Ross, Graham, and Jillian. Helen is riding with me.

i think this picture pretty much sums up how i felt flying around inthese hot air balloons! whee!

graham has the same feeling :)
