Mommy's big girl bed

i finally came to the realization that my little girl was ready for a big girl bed.  she's been ready for a while now - but i haven't.  with the other kids, we've always had a baby due around the time each of them turned 2.  so, naturally the 2 year old would transition to a toddler bed when the baby arrived - but with jillian being the last baby.... i haven't been in a rush to transition her..... in fact, i've been really dragging my feet.  i promised ross we would transition her when she turned 3.... well she turned 3 and i thought maybe ross forgot about my promise :)  in finally decided in april that we (or I) would make the transition.   we found this toddler bed last summer at a garage sale and when i would run on the treadmill in the basement this winter, i was always reminded that the transition was coming soon ---

so for about a week - we kept the crib next to the new bed.... and i've finally accepted the fact that my 3 year old is growing up.  i disassembled the crib and put it in the basement.  but i think i'll keep the crib just a little longer ---maybe until jillian turns 18 :)
