raingear

the first photo is what prompted me to FINALLY purchase some rain gear........ i picked the boys up from school today and literally drove to the nearest bike shop to purchase a waterproof coat and pants. i asked the guy at the bike shop if he sold a lot of rain gear on rainy days - he said yes... but our bike sales are usually down on rainy days :)

ross offered to buy me rain gear when we first moved here. i told him that i didn't need it. i was going to drive the car when it rained. i would save my biking days for when the sun was out.

well today -

1. after listening to helen whine " waaaaaaiiiiit for me mmmmooooommm" (can you hear the whiny tone in my quotation?) as she shuffled along in her princess rainboots and held her umbrella (barely) over her head.

2. after circling helen's playgroup building 3 times..... then trying to parallel park my van twice and ultimately ending up parking a block away!

3. after parking the van in the middle of a mud puddle and pushing the stroller in the rain (just so helen could ride on the attached board so i didn't have to listen to "waaaaaiiiiit for meeeeeee!") to pick the boys up from school

i decided that i would be biking around town instead of driving the van. i'm tired just thinking about all that biking!
