Today is the lottery draw for the New York City Marathon - New York City Roadrunners broadcasted a half-hour show online about the race. they were also supposed to scroll the names of the people chosen through the lottery process and those with guaranteed entry but due to technical difficulties they were not able to scroll the names. although i am already entered in the marathon through a guaranteed entry (i met the qualification time and received my acceptance letter already) - i still had butterflies in my stomach watching the coverage. i can't wait to run the race on November 4!
race weekend events! looks the it will be covered live on ESPN! i can't believe that 140,000 people applied in 2011! and 47,000 finishers (not sure what the numbers were for this year)
