i had to take this picture of helen's hair. she has never had a haircut! i just love her beautiful curls..... and the hairbow in her hair must be noted! i have put some sort of clip or bow in helen's hair since she was just a few months old... well i guess i should define "hair". helen did not have much hair at all until she was about 18 months old. but i still managed to get a some sort of clip or bow in her hair... up until the point where she figured out how to get the bow out (around 6 months). but still... with great persistance on my part - i would try each day to put a bow in her hair ..... hoping 1 day she would keep it in. i am proud to say that day has finally come (at almost 3 years old)!!! yes, helen will finally leave the bow in her hair ALONE... well.. most of the day :) (i have rationalized with her that it keeps her hair out of her face.)

Oh my goodness, look at those beautiful curls! I can sympathize with the no hair child, I had one of those myself. But, rest assured, Carissa now comes down every single day with either a headband or barette or ribbon in her hair. While they aren't in her hair exactly the way I'd do it, I can't help but be pleased that they're there!
