the past 2 days have been a flurry of packing paper, tape, and boxes.... yesterday the moving crew arrived and packed up all of our items for our sea shipment and today the moving crew loaded up our furniture and boxes into the sea container. they even loaded our van on to a separate truck which will eventually be added to the sea container and head across the ocean to the netherlands!
i've included a few pictures below, but i have a few more pictures to load from the other camera. last night we all slept on our mattresses on the floor around the boxes.... in fact we think jayden's pillow got packed..... complete with the pillowcase! i had set aside what i thought was all the bedding before they disassembled the beds - but when i went to make jayden's bed last night - we could not find his pillow :) luckily we had an extra one for him! as i anticipated... anything not clearly marked was packed in a box!
there was only 1 request made to unpack a box because an item had been inadvertently packed.... i must (proudly) say... this request was made by ross, not me! :) midday, he realized his church music bag had been packed. he needed that music to play this sunday at church. fortunately the movers were able to find the box pretty quickly.
the weather was great and it couldn't have worked out better today - the movers were just finishing up their loading process as the rental furniture truck arrived with our temporary beds, dressers, and kitchen table.
today, helen and i enjoyed a picnic in our bedroom at lunch today.... it was so cold on the first floor of the house today because they had the doors open that we had to move our 'party' upstairs....not to mention that our kitchen table was packed up!
